The song is originally written and performed by Ghanaian gospel singer and songwriter Joe Mettle.

The lyrics are taken from Psalm 121 and this makes the song feel very much like a prayer. Niiella added this song to her setlist because it meant a lot to her leading up to the worship service and had no idea it would be one of the highlights of the event. In light of this, Ye Obua Mi is being released as the first song from the Wildfire Worship Service as many of you said this was your favourite moment from the night. We pray those of you who were there are blessed again and those of you who weren’t there can feel how God moved on that night.
